Ownership & Funding Disclosure

Who owns GlobalExpressTime, how the newsroom is funded, and the safeguards that keep our journalism free from commercial influence.

Ownership

GlobalExpressTime is an independently owned and operated publication. It is not owned by a political party, government body, state broadcaster, or publicly listed media corporation, and no outside organisation holds an editorial stake in the newsroom.

Day-to-day control of the publication rests with its founding editorial team, who hold sole responsibility for all decisions related to content, staffing, editorial direction, and the long-term development of the newsroom. Ownership structure has not changed since the publication launched.

How we are funded

GlobalExpressTime is funded primarily through digital display advertising revenue. Advertising space on the site is sold programmatically through third-party ad networks. Individual advertisers do not know in advance which articles their advertisements will appear alongside, and they have no mechanism to request placement near or away from specific content.

No advertiser has ever been offered influence over editorial decisions. That includes which stories we cover, how they are framed, which sources we contact, and what conclusions we draw.

What we do not accept

  • Sponsored or paid-for editorial content of any kind presented as independent journalism.
  • Funding from political parties, election campaigns, lobbying organisations, or any government department or agency.
  • Payments, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for positive coverage, story suppression, or preferential editorial treatment of any individual, company, or institution.
  • Undisclosed travel, hospitality, or gifts from sources, publicists, or third parties with a commercial or political interest in our coverage.

Editorial independence

Every editorial decision at GlobalExpressTime is made solely by our editors and reporters. What we cover, the angle we take, the sources we quote, and what we choose not to publish are determined entirely on editorial grounds. Commercial relationships, including advertising contracts, have no bearing on any of these decisions.

Reporters are not informed about which organisations advertise on the site. Editors do not consult with commercial or business teams before commissioning, editing, or publishing stories. These separations are maintained as a formal matter of policy and professional obligation.

Corrections and accountability

When we make factual errors we correct them promptly, with a visible note on the article explaining what was wrong and what has been changed. We do not delete corrections silently or amend articles without public acknowledgement.

Questions about our ownership structure, funding sources, or editorial policies are welcome at support@globalexpresstime.com. We aim to respond within five working days.
