Two Editions, One Price Gap

Take-Two Interactive's official announcement confirms the two editions available from June 25, 2026 across digital storefronts:

Standard Edition, $79.99 (US) The base game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, including the Vintage Vice City Pack for qualifying purchases made before November 20, 2026.

Ultimate Edition, $99.99 (US) The base game plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, which adds a substantial list of in-game vehicles, weapons, cosmetics, activities, and exclusive destinations. The Vintage Vice City Pack is also included for purchases before the November 20 cutoff.

For players who already own the Standard Edition and want the upgrade later, Xbox lists the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately for $20.00, though the base game is required.

Regional pricing differs. The PlayStation Store India listed the Standard Edition at Rs 5,999 and the Ultimate Edition at Rs 7,499 on June 25. Physical Copies Do Not Contain a Disc

Players planning to buy GTA VI in a box at a retailer should be aware of one confirmed detail: Rockstar's official release states the physical edition contains a download code, not a game disc.

Physical code-in-box copies are scheduled to become available beginning November 12, 2026, one week before launch. Digital pre-order customers can also begin pre-loading on November 12. That seven-day window applies to both formats before the November 19 release.

Retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and GameStop were reported to have physical listings live on the pre-order opening day of June 25, per 9to5Toys and Push Square, though inventory and pricing on individual retail pages can change. The GTA+ Incentive, Read the Fine Print

Digital pre-orders on both platforms include one free month of GTA+, Rockstar's subscription service tied to GTA Online.

On PlayStation, the subscription auto-renews at the regular monthly price after the free month unless the buyer actively cancels, and the offer must be redeemed by March 31, 2027, as stated on the PlayStation Store product page. That account represents Rockstar's stated position in contested litigation, the workers and the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain disputed the dismissals, and the connection between those internal sessions and any future consumer product remains an inference from the documents, not a confirmed announcement.
