Fever vs. Lynx Player Stats: Eight Extra Shots Won It

The Minnesota Lynx beat the Indiana Fever 108–100 on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Target Center in Minneapolis, extending their winning streak to 10 games and ending Indiana's run at five.

Indiana still finished with the better field-goal percentage, 57.4% to 56.6%. Both teams made 11 three-pointers and 11 free throws, and each scored 46 points in the paint, according to the official WNBA game center.

The eight-point margin came from a less obvious place. Minnesota made 43 field goals to Indiana's 39, with both teams hitting 11 threes. That means the Lynx made four more two-point baskets. After removing the identical 46 paint points, Minnesota held an 18–10 advantage on two-point scoring outside the paint. That difference matches the final margin exactly.

Indiana was slightly more accurate, but Minnesota had eight more attempts. The Lynx had more chances to use their percentage.

Eight extra shots turned accuracy into a loss

The final player totals list Minnesota with 33 rebounds and Indiana with 23. Minnesota also committed eight total turnovers to Indiana's 12, and the possession profile ended with 76 field-goal attempts for the Lynx against 68 for the Fever.

Minnesota held a 15–8 advantage in points off turnovers and a 9–0 edge in fast-break points. The Lynx led by as many as 15, while Indiana's largest lead was four.

Indiana scored 33 in the first quarter and 24 in the fourth, but Minnesota's starting five kept the game from depending on one scorer. Every Lynx starter reached double figures, and the group supplied 96 of Minnesota's 108 points.

Mitchell gave Indiana the scoring night it needed

Mitchell scored 37 points on 14-of-21 shooting, made six of eight three-point attempts, and committed one turnover in 35 minutes. She had 23 points by halftime, keeping Indiana within 64–53 after Minnesota scored 28 in the second quarter.

Caitlin Clark finished with 19 points and a game-high 10 assists, recording a points-and-assists double-double. She shot 8-of-18 overall and 2-of-9 from three, with four turnovers in 34 minutes.

Clark's availability had remained an Indiana concern during the summer because of her back-related injury listings and managed minutes. Against Minnesota, she handled a full workload at lead guard and created 10 of Indiana's 27 assists.

Aliyah Boston added 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Mitchell, Clark, and Boston combined for 71 points and 20 assists, but they also committed eight of Indiana's 12 turnovers. Minnesota's three leading scorers produced a similar points total with far less lost possession.

Miles and Williams gave Minnesota two steady creators

Olivia Miles led Minnesota with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting. She added six assists and four rebounds while making 78.6% of her field-goal attempts.

Courtney Williams added 27 points, five assists, and no turnovers. She shot 12-of-20, giving Minnesota a second guard who could create efficiently without returning possessions to Indiana.

Napheesa Collier rounded out the central trio with 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, also without a turnover. Miles, Williams, and Collier combined for 73 points, 18 assists, and three turnovers. Indiana's Mitchell-Clark-Boston trio had 71 points, 20 assists, and eight turnovers.

Two points separated the trios' scoring. Five turnovers separated their ball security.

Natasha Howard scored 13 and Kayla McBride added 10, completing a starting five in double figures. Indiana could not reduce Minnesota's attack to one matchup or one defensive adjustment.

One live report listed Indiana with 32 first-quarter points. The final line score records 33, making Minnesota's lead 36–33 after the opening period.

Mitchell and Miles each had 23 points by halftime. The teams then played the third quarter level at 23–23, leaving Indiana with the same 11-point deficit it carried out of the break.

Indiana reached 100 points for a sixth consecutive game. The sequence is confirmed, but neither it nor the 69 combined first-quarter points should be labelled a league record without an official record source.

The September rematches have a clear test

Minnesota improved to 25–6 and retained the league's best record at the end of the game. Indiana fell to 19–11, ending its five-game winning streak.
