World Cup Fixtures Today: Full Round of 16 Schedule
Morocco beat Canada 3-0. France beat Paraguay 1-0. Full 2026 World Cup schedule every Round of 16 kickoff time, venue, TV channel and bracket.

Morocco destroyed Canada 3-0 in Houston and France edged Paraguay 1-0 in Philadelphia on July 4, confirming two of the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal spots and leaving six Round of 16 ties still to be decided across July 5, 6 and 7.
What Happened on July 4
Azzedine Ounahi scored twice and Soufiane Rahimi added a third late on. Reuters' match report records that Morocco did not register their first attempt on goal until the 28th minute and still won by three. Morocco's coach Mohamed Ouahbi was appointed by FIFA in March 2026 following Walid Regragui's departure, and guided the team to the quarterfinals for the second consecutive World Cup. FIFA's official match report confirms Morocco are the first African nation to reach the last eight at back-to-back tournaments.
In Philadelphia, Kylian Mbappé converted a 70th-minute penalty awarded after a foul on Désiré Doué to settle a tense contest against a Paraguay side that had already eliminated Germany on penalties in the Round of 32. That goal was Mbappé's seventh of the tournament, per FIFA's France match report. France and Morocco will meet in the quarterfinals in Boston on July 9 at 4 p.m. ET. Both Germany and the Netherlands, among the pre-tournament favourites, exited before the Round of 16.
July 5: Brazil vs Norway and Mexico vs England
Two fixtures are scheduled for Sunday, July 5. Both air on FOX in the United States, with live streaming through FOX One. Spanish-language coverage is split across Telemundo and Universo, with all 104 matches available through Peacock, per NBCUniversal's official announcement.
Brazil vs Norway New York/New Jersey Stadium, 4 p.m. ET / 20:00 UTC
Brazil enter as heavy favourites, but Norway carry a striking historical record. Norway are unbeaten against Brazil in four meetings, recording two wins and two draws including a 2-1 victory in the 1998 World Cup group stage, as documented on FIFA's Brazil-Norway preview page. Brazil advanced from that group regardless and reached the 1998 final. Norway's unbeaten record against them is real it has never yet cost Brazil a tournament.
Mexico vs England Mexico City Stadium (Estadio Azteca), 8 p.m. ET / 00:00 UTC Tuesday
Mexico arrive with four wins and zero goals conceded across the group stage and Round of 32 beating South Africa, South Korea, Czechia and Ecuador without letting in a single goal. England's only previous World Cup meeting with Mexico was a 2-0 group-stage win at the 1966 tournament, with Bobby Charlton and Roger Hunt scoring, as noted in FIFA's official match preview. England went on to win the title that year, and it remains their only men's World Cup. Neither record determines what happens at the Azteca tonight.
The Mexico vs England guide for July 5 covers kickoff time and viewing options by region.
Remaining Round of 16 Schedule: July 6 and July 7
Four more ties follow across the next two days, all confirmed by FIFA's scores and fixtures centre and FOX's full U.S. schedule.

2026 World Cup Format and Remaining Dates
The 2026 edition is the first men's World Cup to run with 48 teams. That expansion produced 104 matches and a standalone Round of 32 that preceded the Round of 16 for the first time in tournament history. The three host nations are Canada, Mexico and the United States. Full format and schedule details are on FIFA's official tournament page. The competition runs through July 19 local time, with the final at New York/New Jersey Stadium.
Quarterfinals run July 9, 10 and 11. Semifinals are July 14 and 15. The third-place match is July 18, and the final is July 19.
Michael Olise of Bayern Munich led the tournament's assist chart with five through the Round of 16 stage, per FIFA's assists feature. That figure will shift as the remaining six Round of 16 ties are played.
France and Morocco open the quarterfinal programme on July 9 in Boston at 4 p.m. ET the first of eight matches remaining before the final.
