MLB Futures Game 2026: NBC, Peacock, Time & Full Rosters

The 27th MLB All-Star Futures Game is underway Sunday, July 12, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, airing live on NBC and streaming on Peacock with a noon ET first pitch and it features 38 of baseball's Top 100 prospects, including all nine of MLB Pipeline's top-ranked minor leaguers.

When and Where to Watch

First pitch was scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The game airs exclusively on NBC in the United States. Peacock carries the simultaneous live stream. YouTube TV and Fubo both carry NBC, though local NBC availability varies by market and ZIP code check your local affiliate before relying on either service. DIRECTV also carries NBC in most markets, with availability depending on regional carriage and account type.

What the Futures Game Is

The Futures Game is Major League Baseball's annual All-Star Week showcase for top minor league prospects. It splits the best talent from all 30 MLB farm systems into American League and NL rosters, giving them a national stage well before they reach the majors.

The format runs seven innings. If the game is tied after seven, an eighth inning is played a tie is recorded only if the score is still level after eight, per the official MLB FAQ. Each team carries 25 players, and MLB research puts the career conversion rate at 86.8 percent that share of all past Futures Game participants have gone on to play at least one major league game. Of those, 21.3 percent became MLB All-Stars.

The AL vs. NL format has been in place since 2019, replacing the former USA vs. World format. The National League leads the all-time series under the current format at 4–1–1 entering Sunday's game.

Larry Bowa manages the American League squad. Shane Victorino manages the National League. Both men won World Series rings with Philadelphia Bowa in 1980, Victorino in 2008 and both are returning to Citizens Bank Park in a different capacity, as confirmed when the managers were announced.

The Prospects to Watch

Jesús Made of the Milwaukee Brewers is MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect and starts at shortstop for the NL. The 19-year-old plays in the Southern League and entered Sunday among the circuit's leaders in hits.

Leo De Vries, ranked No. 2 overall, leads off for the AL. The Athletics shortstop built his case for the top spot in the Double-A Midland lineup all year he draws walks, puts the ball in play, and covers ground at short well enough that the organization has no plans to move him.

On the mound, Kade Anderson is the event's highest-ranked pitcher. The Mariners left-hander selected third overall in the 2025 Draft out of LSU entered the game 8–1 with a 1.36 ERA and 0.69 WHIP at Double-A Arkansas, leading the minor leagues in ERA among qualified starters, per MLB's event-day coverage. Anderson is ranked No. 5 overall by MLB Pipeline.

Starting for the NL, Gage Wood (Phillies, No. 51 overall) carried a 3.44 ERA and a .207 opponents' batting average across 16 starts split between Clearwater and Reading before Sunday. He tuned up with three scoreless innings on 38 pitches in his final Reading start, then learned from Victorino himself that he had the ball for the Futures Game. The Phillies drafted him 26th overall in 2025.

Seth Hernandez, the Pirates right-hander ranked No. 6 overall, entered the second inning in relief for the NL. Selected sixth overall in the 2025 Draft, Hernandez entered Sunday as the first minor league pitcher to reach 100 strikeouts in 2026 111 total in 69 innings with a 2.61 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a fastball that touched 102.4 mph at Spring Breakout in March, per his official MiLB profile.

Josue De Paula of the Dodgers is attempting something the award's history has not seen: a back-to-back Larry Doby MVP. De Paula won the award in 2025 after homering to lead the NL to a 4–2 win at Truist Park. He entered Sunday hitting .321 with 15 home runs at Double-A Tulsa, per ESPN's Futures Game coverage.

In total, MLB confirmed that 38 of the 50 active selections on the two rosters appear on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list, including all nine of the top-ranked prospects. Nineteen first-round picks are represented, 11 of them from the 2025 Draft. Five of the first six picks from that Draft class Eli Willits, Tyler Bremner, Kade Anderson, Liam Doyle, and Seth Hernandez all feature on the official rosters.

MLB Draft Day 2 Is Running Simultaneously

While the Futures Game fills the afternoon on NBC, the 2026 MLB Draft continues on a parallel track. Day 2 covers Rounds 5 through 20, starting from pick No. 136 the first selection of Round 5 after Day 1 completed the first four rounds with 135 picks on Saturday.

All-Star Week Schedule

Citizens Bank Park has already hosted one event during All-Star Week: the HBCU Swingman Classic powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation, which took place at the ballpark on Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. ET. The Futures Game is the first MLB prospect showcase of the week on the same field.
